Gatidhara Scheme 2024

The Transport Department, Government of West Bengal started the “Gatidhara Scheme” in August 2014. The scheme is for the employment of registered unemployed youth of the State in the transport sector. It aims to generate self-employment in the Urban and Rural areas of the state through the promotion of transport services.

The Govt will offer the subsidy @ 30% of the ex-showroom price of the vehicle subject to a maximum of ₹1,00,000/- to the beneficiary when he/she buys any commercial vehicle.


  • Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
  • Must be enrolled in the Employment Bank of Labour Department, GOWB.
  • The age must be between 25 and 45 years (Relaxation 5 years for SC/ST & 3 years for OBC).
  • The family income must be less than ₹25000/- per month.
